Note: Es fehlen 5 Bilder in der Serie. (MS 01.1999).; Note translation: 5 of the images of this series are missing. - Dating and documentation: the slides in the archive (recognisable by the reference number Qx-34) were originally packed in stout wooden containers containing 50 slides each, with a list of captions pasted into the lid. Up to perhaps 1950 such containers were taken (or even posted) from congregation to congregation to be used in mission events. They will originally have had commentaries on each slide, which could be read out to the audience. But unfortunately the original order of slides, boxes and commentaries has been lost, and it would be a major job to restore it. - in view of the nature of the slides it is very likely that the whole of Qx-34 dates from the interwar period. The images themselves can be older, however, since since some pre-1918 images were used in the production of these series. - (MS 01.1999). - NB this series contains pictures of the new King Prempeh of Asante and others whichs eem to be linked to the work of the Büchner family. It can thus be dated to the late 1930s. (PJ 11.2001).
