Description	Note: Karl Hartenstein war Direktor der BM von 1926-39. In dieser Zeit bereiste er alle Missionsgebiete der BM. In Folge des 2. Weltkrieges tratt er zurück und zog zurück nach Deutschland wo er der Direktor des neu gegründeten Deutschen Zweigs der Basler Mission (BMDZ) wurde.; Note translation: Karl Hartenstein was the director of the BM from 1926-39. During this time he travelled to all the mission areas of the BM. As a result of the Second World War he resigned and moved back to Germany in 1939 where he was the head of the nascent Basel Mission German Branch (BMDZ).
