Description	"Isoko. Operation durch Dr. Fischer. Im Hintergrund Schwester Schärf. (1929?)." ("Isoko. Operation by Fischer, M.D. In the background Sister Schärf. (1929?)"). Dr. Fischer deals with an arm of a seated male patient. Sister Else Schärf assists holding the arm.; One copy retouched. -- Else Schärf (born 1892, year of death unknown) was a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine. She was a deaconess and received training not only as a nurse but also in the care of mothers and lepers. She served from 1928 for many years at the leprosy hospital in Isoko.
