Title	African workmen, Gonja, Tanzania, ca. 1900-1914
Description	"Pare-Männer, welche Bauholz herbeigeschafft haben! Gonja, Süd-Pare, Deutsch-Ost-Afrika." ("Pare men who have brought along lumber! Gonja, South Pare, German East Africa."). Five men are sitting on long poles, having a rest. Poles are piled up around them. They are wearing fezes and traditional clothes. In the background: a forest.; Cf. album 6, photo no. 47(197) "Bauholzträger auf dem Wege" ("Porters of lumber on their way"). -- Postcard published by the Leipzig Mission. -- The mission station in Gonja was founded in 1904.
