"Geschwister Kretzschmer in Wittewater." ("Brother Kretzschmer and Sister Kretzschmer in Wittewater."). Missionary Kretschmer and his wife are sitting on a bench in front of a house. Each one has a toddler on their lap. She is wearing a colorful dress; he is wearing a white shirt, gray pants and a hat.; The picture might either show Rudolf Kretschmer or Theophilius Kretschmer. -- Rudolf Kretschmer (1901-unknown) was a merchant and a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine in western South Africa. -- Theophilius Kretschmer was a merchant and a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine in western South Africa. -- The picture was probably taken by Samuel Baudert (1879-1956), born as son of the missionary Samuel Baudert in South Africa. He was the mission director of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine from 1924 to 1927 and since 1929 their bishop. It might also be possible that the picture was taken by Eugen Theodor Baudert (1876-1953) who worked as a lecturer at the theological seminar in Mvenyane.
