"Der Gnadenthaler Berg und das Dorf." ("The mountain of Genadendal and the village."). In the background on the right are many dwellings of Genadendal. Further back is the big mountain of Genadendal. A Tree in the foreground.; The picture was probably taken by Samuel Baudert (1879-1956), born as son of the missionary Samuel Baudert in South Africa. He was the mission director of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine from 1924 to 1927 and since 1929 their bishop. It might also be possible that the picture was taken by Eugen Theodor Baudert (1876-1953) who worked as a lecturer at the theological seminar in Mvenyane.
