Title	Yard of Chief Mareale's house in Marangu, Tanzania, ca.1901-1910
Description	"Der Hof vor dem Häuptlingshaus des Häuptlings Mareale in Marangu (darin zu sehen drei mächtige Biertröge)" ("Yard in front of Chief Mareale's house in Marangu (in which to see three enormous beer troughs)"). Two African men in cloth outfits and caps are standing next to a big wooden beer trough. On their left and right two other troughs. In the background on the right the two-storied stone house. On the left a shed with a grass roof.; Cf. photo no. 287. -- The picture was probably taken by Johannes Schanz (1876-1963). He worked as a missionary of the Leipzig Mission in Moshi and Mamba from 1901 to 1910.
