Title	Men and women carrying bricks, Kyimbila, Tanzania, 1898-1914
Description	"Ziegelträger u. -Trägerinnen in Kyimbila." ("Male a[nd] female carriers of bricks in Kyimbila."). A group of African men and women carrying baskets filled with bricks on their heads. Some of them have wooden frames in which bricks are piled up, others have bundled up some bricks with ropes and carry them on their heads. Tall trees are to be seen in the background. Imprinted on the image: "[32]48".; Adolf Ferdinand Stolz (1871-1917) was a mission trader of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine in Ipanya from 1898 to 1902 and in Kyimbila from 1903 to 1914. He was responsible for the plantations in Kyimbila and Rutenganio. In 1898 he married Helene Elisabeth, née Kootz (1872-1899) , in 1903 Anna, née Schulze.
