Behind the dormitory of the Minge boys stood a c. 6m. long tree-stump. It was about 4m. from the house. It was struck by lightening while some of the boys sat under the roof and watched [the storm]. Luckily all of them suvived. The boys are standing on the stump, which we have now cut down.
