Description	Note: "Nro. 27 u 28 [QC-30.016.0021-0022] stellen Tschowa dar, ersteres zeigt die Kirche rechts drüben u. daneben links die Wohnung des Katechisten Karl Stocking; das grössere Haus im Vordergrund ist die Schule, die übrigen Hütten sind von den Pulya-Christen bewohnt. Aus den Bildern geht ziemlich klar hervor, dass die Ansiedelung keine günstige ist für Landbau; ein kahler, wasserarmer, steiniger Hügel, auf den eine tropische Sonne herabbrennt, kann nur mit Treibhaussorgfalt, Mühe in ... [Entzifferung unklar] bepflanzt werden. Die Bäume im Vordergrund stehen zu beiden Seiten der Strasse nach Tellitscherry u. gehören nicht zum Missionsgut. Die regelmässig gesetzten Pflanzen am Hügel hin, sind Kokusnuss Palmen ." (3. Quartalsbericht 06.10.1860: 3).; Note translation: "Nos. 27 & 28 [QC-30.016.0021-0022] show Tschowa. The first picture shows the church at the upper right, and upper left the house of the catechist, Karl Stocking; the large house in the foreground is the school, the other buildings are houses of the Pulya christians. You can see from the photographs that the settlement is not a good one for agriculture . It is a bare, dry, stony hillside. The tropical sun blazes down. It can only be cultivated with the kind of care and labour you invest in a greenhouse [one part of this sentence are illegible]. The trees in the foreground stand on both sides of the road to Tellitscherry, and do not grow on mission land. The plants set at regular intervals on the mission hill are cocnut palms." (C.G.
