Israel's oldest university, the
Technion-lsrael Institute of Technology, received a meaningful gift on
its 70th anniversary from Califor-
niansAndrew and Ema Finci Viterbi.
At a ceremony during theTechnion's
yearly meeting of the International
Board of Governors, the Viterbis
established the Andrew J. and Erna
CHASE
Finci Viterbi Chair in Information
Systems. The purpose is to encourage the Technion's pioneering
moves in the conversion of defense-
related technology to civilian consumer products and services.
