As chairman of Boston Latin School's first capital campaign, I want to personally
thank you for helping us launch the campaign with such an extraordinary
leadership gift. As you know, development of a comprehensive technology
program — encompassing essential infrastructure, planning, teacher training and
curriculum enhancement — is one of the highest priorities both for the campaign
and for the school's future. We are most grateful for your generosity and vision.
Your $2 million commitment will undoubtedly be influential in helping us
leverage other gifts at this level and to setting a standard for support of public
secondary education that will become a model for many other institutions
throughout the country. The Andrew Viterbi Director of Technology and the
Andrew Viterbi Computer Center will help ensure Latin School's ability to
provide an optimal educational environment in keeping with the school's proud
history.
