Lidiia Dmitrievna Zinov'eva-Annibal (1866-1907) – writer of the Symbolist era. Her pseudonym “Annibal” was meant to evoke her ancestor, Pushkin’s great grandfather Abram Hannibal (Gannibal). She was best known as a prose writer, although she also wrote poetry and criticism. |

Лидия Дмитриевна Зиновьева-Аннибал (1866-1907) - русская писательница эпохи символизма. Литературный псевдоним Аннибал связан с тем, что она по женской линии являлась потомком Абрама Ганнибала, предка Пушкина. В литературе известна больше как прозаик, хотя публиковала и стихи, писала критические статьи в различных журналах. |
Chronology (English) |
1893 - meets Viacheslav Ivanov, whom she soon marries; 1906 - organizes special women’s meetings at the “Tower” attended by L. D. Blok, M. V. Sabashnikova and N. G. Chulkova, at which literature and art were discussed; 1907 - after first being forbidden by the censor, her story “Tridtsat’ tri uroda” (Thirty-Three Abominations) is published, together with her book of stories “Tragicheskii zverinets” (Tragic Menagerie), that bring her her greatest celebrity; October 17, 1907 – death from scarlet fever while at a friend’s estate of Zagor’e in the Mogilev province; 1918 - Viacheslav Ivanov publishes a posthumous collection of her works entitled “Net!” (No!), in which he included her workls that had been published in periodicals and those she was unable to publish during her life. |

1893 г. - познакомилась с Вяч. Ивановым, вскоре стала его женой; 1906 г. - Зиновьева-Аннибал проводила на «Башне» специальные женские собрания, на которых бывали Л. Д. Блок, М. В. Сабашникова и Н. Г. Чулкова, велись беседы о литературе и искусстве; 1907 г. - вышли ее повесть «Тридцать три урода» (была на некоторое время запрещена цензурой) и сборник рассказов «Трагический зверинец», принесшие ей наибольшую известность; 17 октября 1907 г. - в имении своих друзей Загорье (Могилевской губ.) Зиновьева умерла от скарлатины; 1918 г. - Вяч. Иванов издал посмертный сборник произведений Л. Зиновьевой-Аннибал «Нет!», включавший ее произведения, печатавшиеся в периодике, и то, что по разным причинам не могло быть опубликовано при жизни автора. |
