- 8 - COREMO AT WOMEN'S CONFERENCE Last October from the 25th to 30th Albanian was a host country for Several hundreds of delegates from every corner of the World tfhere they gathered in an Interntional Women's Congress.The progressive and revolutionary women of the World did denounce the U.A. agios- siori in South Vietnam* At the end of tho Conference tho delegates were allowed to visit some Albanian historical places throughout the Peoples/ Republic of Albania. Following is the speech to the Conference delivered by our delegate Mrs.Priscilla Gumane in her capacity as the Seoretary for WomenTs Affairs in COREMO2- "On behalf of the Mozambiqye Revolutionary Committee(COREMO) and the Mozambique Women Revolutionary Union, I would like in the fis first place to convey hearty greetings and sincere good wishes, on the occasion of this symbolic Congress". "Madame Chairman and comrades, Mozambique lies on the South- -Eastern coast of Africa. It is a country of 33,200 square miles (778,000 square Kms), with a population of &§ million Africans, who ha.ve been oppressed by the Portuguese colonialists and imperialist for over four hundreds years. In all these yeas the Portuguese have Muled Mozambique with an. Iron Rod". "In Mozambique the Portuguese are practising a war of genocide against the entire African population.In this august Congress I am not going to tell you about what rights women have in Mozambique or the emancipation of women that is taking place as African women have no rights, in many unfornatute country, because of Portuguese oppressive laws against Africans". Mozambique is country of sorrow, poverty and desease, whete women have to watch their children and husbands die solowly, and where women have to wath their husbands and sons taken to forced labour camps the system which operates in Mozambique, the worst system that was ever practised by man to fellow man.It is a form of slavery ir which men and momen are treated not as human beings but, as ohatt'ifci? to bo moved from place to place the whim of the white Portuguese loc^J. authorities(ADMINISTADORES e CHEFES DE POSTOS) district and region officers • "Madame chairman and comrades, these diabolical aots have been gçing on for years, hence the re-organisation of the armed struggle by the Mozambique Revolutionary Committee". /.
