We send you herewith the following documents of our activities:- (1) Formation of Coremo by:~UDEBAMOfMANC,MONOMOTAPA,UNAMI,and MANUf \> Your Excellency, I am writing to inform you that after a long and fruitful discussion among the Mozambique political organisations, namelyf UDENaMO,MaNC,HCKOMOTAPA,UNAMI and MANU which took place in the city of Lusaka,the Republic of Zambia 24~3IstI/iarch,I965 *and an agreement was reached whereby all the participants ana the'leaders of the five organisations agreed to come together and form one strong organisation*The name of the organisation was called ,Mozambique Revolutionary Committee ( COREMO). Your Excellency,this organisation was officially announced on the 18 th J une, 196 5. The following organisations, UDENAMO, M03JOMOTAP." *nd MANC immediately dissolved their organisations into C05JJM0 and 1 1 * g 8&&&&^&t^^ the Provisional action Council was formed pending the holding of our first National Congress.Mr,Hlomulo Gwambe was elected the president of COREMO and Mr.paulo Jose Gumane the Secretary -General. Therefore,Your Excellency,the former UDENAMO Office in the United Arab Republic was changed into COREMO External Mission on the I8th,June,I965,Mr*Xalentino S.Sithole remain the chief representative and the spokesman in the U.A.R. Your Excellency,hoping that this letter v/ill meet with your favourable understanding and co-operation for the National liberation of Mozambique, &&8ofc&fk I am,Your Excellency, Sincerely, Paulo Jose Gumani Secretary General. (2) Report of operations Qctober 65/December 65- The Provisional Action Council of COEE&0,after analysing the grave and explosive situation prevailing in our country Mozambique,decided to make a strategic and tactical plan of fighting against the Portuguese fascist, The Provisinal action council took its strategic and tactical plan and instructed its guerrilla commanders inside the Country to intesify their activities more special in the central part of Mozambique.As result of the glorious decision that was taken by our Revolutionary Council many operations v/ere taken not only in the particular areas where our provisional council emphasised but also in Manica e Sofala and Niassa Districts v/here we also have our Guerrilla units. Even though &h±& we have done many military preparations bu much of our time during this few months has been stressed on Political education, Political education amongst our fighters has been given prime importance because v/e have learnt mistakes that have been commited by our friends.And in all the places v/here our guerrillars are operating we have established Party Branches and apart from that we have also carried on Military training •Many training bases have been established -where cadres who are trained in some friendly countries are training others. In tJae central province during the early weeks of October,1965, 12 Portuguese African Soldiers deserted the Portuguese army and joined our forces together with their arms*And from the 21 st October to December 23rd,1965,our heroic guerrillars -annihilated 18 Portuguese soldiers and woundsrlg more than 7 in the areas of &ambuo,«3umbo.Fingoe and Tete.And daring these operations ,8 American-semi automatic 8 rounds Rifles were captured; 3 toilitiry lorries v/ere destroyed md one strategic military air base burned *
