Mr. Chairman, Your Excellencies, friends and brothers, faced with such a terrible situation we are left with no other alternative but to stress to you that we badly need your assistance. Cur organisation, which is one of the liberation movements of Mozambique spearheading the armed struggle, appeals for the bolow listed items which are of great importance for our struggle:- a) Formal and unconditional recognition of our Movement. b) Loral support. c) Arms and ammunition. d) Financial assistance. Coremo, as any other liberation movement in Africa, feels that it has every justification to appeal for assistance to Your Committee not only because we are a nationalist movement, but because we are engaged in active struggle against the Fortuguese fascist, regime which has for centuries dominated and supressed our people. kr. Chairman, it is not our intention to force Your Committee to assist us but we ere sure as we have already said above that we have every justification to ask for help from you. Cur experiences v/ith the rest of the national liberation movements in Africa and your Committee of eleven (11) makes it bold enough for us to appeal for assistance, ./e are sorry to say that since the formation of our organisation, for. Chairman, Your Excellencies, friends and brothers you have tried to segregate and neglect our appeals as if we have not been and are not fighting. This is lamentable, but v/e are sure that not long from now you will reconsider your decision not to recognize our movement. Lastly, Mr. Chairman, Your Excellencies, friends and brothers, allow me en my behalf and on behalf of the members of the Central Committee and the Kilitary High Command of Coremo to congratulate, through you, Kis Excellency the Honourable General Joseph Labutu the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Government and the people of Congo for taking all the sacrifice in giving a terrible blow to the fascist regime of Fortugal by severing diplomatic relations with that that country and also for making this meeting a success. Cur organisation is confident that the Democratic Republic of Congo under the able leadership of /lis Excellency General fcabutu will play a very important role in the liberation of the still dependent countries in Africa. fcir. Chairman, Your Excellencies friends and brothers, kindly accept on my behalf and on behalf of the Central Committee and the military High Command of Coremo our revolutionary best regards and compliment of the season.
