Like all the revolutionary and progressive national liberation movements, v/e believe very strongly that the liberation of the unliberated countries of Africa will be accelerated by the materialisation of the principles of the Organisation of the African Unity fs Charter (C#A.U.)« ,/e are sure that if lip service is not paid the principles of the C.A.U. will be of great help to the liberation movements. Nevertheless, our organisation is detrmined to continue fighting the Portuguese colonial forces in kiozanbique; guided by the spirit of self-reliance, fte have managed to score one victory after another, and gloriously to control the political consciousness of our people in all the areas v/here we have been operating and we even v/ent to the extent of disrupting the moral and the economic posi- f tion of the enemy. The physical reouirements of our liberation struggle today are mainly involving military activities and tremendous resources of a different nature because the enemy we are fighting has highly militarised our Country. To meet these reouirements we have appealed a^ain and again to your Committee for assistance, but v/e arc sorry to say that uo to now v/e have never had a favourable reply. Taking into account our difficulties, we have been encountering as Freedom Fighters both at hone and abroad, we have not been worried but inspired by the solidarity of the anti-imperialist forces in Africa, Asia and Latin America and other progressive movements throughout the world which are scoring glorious victories against imperialism, colonialism and neo-colonialism; v/e v/ere able to defy9*,v*V> and all the difficulties v/e have been facing.
