** III ** people .. All our people in the villages are being rounded up in consideration camps, all the crops have been destroyed living our people dying with hunger. As a means of fighting against our heroic guerrillas the Portuguese im peria.lists have employed defferent methods which are in- . human but still tney have failed. All the activities car ried by this bandits are stinking crimes ever inflicted to human beings in the history of mankind. Since the begining of the Armed Revolutionary etru ggle in Mozambique by (GOIL^uu), our guerrillas had more than 673 engangements with the enemy forces ana out of these engangements more than 23 J Portuguese troops have been wiped out. In the Tet-c district more then 190 operations were carried out, and in this district in the areas of Zumbo, Zambue and Fingoe 163 Portuguese troops were wiped out. Aims ana ammunitions wore captured and tnese arms have helped our party to intensify the /armed Revolutionary"struggle in many parts of the country. As a result of our military operations in Zumbo, Zambue and Fingoe the Portuguese have constructed new roads a long the borders of Zambia this is intended to give quick movement to the enemy troops when in atrol. In Nyasa, Zam bezia and ..any other parts of the country our fighters continue to score many victories. Our fighters in these areas are daily improving their skill of fighting the Portuguese aggressive troops, and establishment of guerrilla base areas continue each passinv. day. Your Excellencies, liis Imperial majestic, distinguished guests and fellow freedom fighters, in the struggle for the emancipation of Africa we are sure that v/e are all going to face many setbacks, this is witnessed by our own struggle, since the begining of our struggle we have lost more than 27 (twenty seven) of our beloved, courageous, and revolutionary dedicated fighters who have sacrificed their liv'es for the sake of liberating L.o- zambique. Thus, in relation to the African revolution as a whole we can see*many setbacks which are developing each day, but we are sure that this historic conference is going to solve all these for the sake of Africa's c^anci^ pation from imperialism, colonialism and neo-colonialismf
