Ad-Hoc/List B/I4C, C.R.M./5/I* I wish to submit the following data ,elements an*1. explanations in support of our legimate application for membership in A.A.P.S.O.:- 1) The Mozambique Revolutionary Committee "COREMO" Was formed by a merger of Five National liberation movements of Mozambique viz/- (I) The Mozambique National Democratic Union (UDENAMO), (II)Mozambique African National Union (MANU) (III) Mozambique- National Democratic Union Monomotapa (UDENAMO) (IV) Independent Mozambique African National Union. And the Mozambique African National Congress (MANC) "COREMO" was formed for the sole purpose of fighting fiercely against our common enemy/* 2) Par.I shows beyond any reasonable doubt that COREMO is a popular and militant national liberation movement of Mozambique which has the backing of the broad masses of the people of Mozambique. No doubt COREMO is an anti-imperialist,anti-cnlonialist and anti-neo- colonialist #rganisation. 3) COREMO stands for unity and as such is not against unity for a comrLon cause against a common enemy, this is clearly amplified by the fact that COREMt is a result of a merger of 5 liberation movements (see Par.l). 4) Attempts to bring PRELIMO to our fold on equal basis have been rejected by PRELIMO on two occasions i.e;/ (i) In January ,1965 > the African Liberation Committee called a mee ting between UDENAMO and PRELIMO in Dar-Es-Salaam under the chairmanship of the Assistant Executive Secretary, Dr. Samy Sadek. In that meeting ,PRELIMO rejected unity inspite of the fact that we compri- mised a lot to achieve uitity. (ii) In March, 1965 * the Zambia Government alst made the attemp^to bring us closer and closer to unity,on the 25th March,1965 a meeting under the Chairmanship of Mr. A.J .K.Kangwa-UNIP iinder secretary for Pan African Affairs. In snspite of all the persnation exerted by the other Mozambican liberation movements and the chairman of the meeting ,PRELIMO flatly refused to unite with the other Parties.
