F ft E LI M CI MOZAMBIQUE LIBERATION FRONT K/$Y\faAAAA+- 1*^: UX NO. 91. CABO DELGADO PROVINCE. 1...0n the I9/3/679 at 9:^5 p»m. , a convoy of h lorries carrying Portuguese soldiers was ambushed by PRELIMO guerrillas, on the road between NANGOLOLO and MUIDUMBE. One of the lorries v/as destroyed and the others were badly damaged. 12 enemy soldiers were killed. One cf our comrades v/as killed during the action. 2...A FRELIMO guerrilla unit placed an anti-group mine, on a road where the Portuguese soldiers used to pass. On the 25th of March, a group of Portuguese soldiers passed by that road, on their way to the people's shambas where they were going with tho intention to steal food for the Easter" Celebrations. They stepped on tho mine: k were killed and others wounded. Our forces captured 2 rifles, ammunition, and the uniforms of the dead soldiers. 3*••On tho 25th of March, a FRELIMO military unit organized an ambush in the zone bet\*7cen the village called"SERRAQAG" and an enemy camping near MESSALO River. The ambush was carefully planned and executed, allowing our forces to liquidate 16 enemy soldiersB km ..On the 27/3/67) a Portuguese pla+oon was marching tov/ards tho NANDENDO Region(MUIDUMBE). Our guerrillas were informed by the people of the movements of the enemy and ambushed them in time, nt the "NCHAMOMO" village, 5 kilometres from the NAMBUDE Mission.'Our forces let the reconnaissance group pass by and then attacked tho main column behind. 20 enemy soldiers wore put out of action. 5...FRELIMO militias of TAWI Branch MONFORT, organized an ambush at the road between SAGAL and MUEDA. They waited several days for the enemy to pass. Finally, on the 25/3/67, a convoy of 15 vehicles passed by that place, coming fron SAGAL to MUEDA. They entered the mined zone. The 1st car was completely destroyed and the second was seriously damaged. FRELIMO militias threw more h grenades inside the 2nd car, and disappeared into the bush. Some days later, some African soldiers, former puppets who were serving in the Portuguese army - deserted and joined FRELIMO military forces. They revealed to us that in that ambush, 15 Portuguese soldiers v/ore killed; 5 were seriously wounded and 6 were slightly wounded. DAR ES SALAAM, 5th May, 1967.
