- 10 - 4. On December 2*4 all the Frelimo groups acting in one of the regions of Cabo Delgado converged on the village of Miteda, where a large group of Portuguese soldiers were gathered, drinking and revelling over Christmas. The Frelimo freedom fighters attacked them with machine guns and grenades, killing 113.. About 15 Portuguese soldiers escaped. None of our militants was killed or wounded. 5. Un December 19 in the Province of Zambezia, our soldiers carried out various acts of sabotage, burning 3 warehouses of a tea plantation. During that operation the freedom fighters killed two guards and the general manager of the tea company. 6. On December 26 the militants of frelimo attacked the administrative post of Charre, Tete province, killing the chief of the post and one guard. . 7. The Frelimo soldiers who on December 24 had launched the attack in Miteda moved to Diaca after that operation. In Diaca on December 28 they gathered again and ambushed a group of Portuguese soldiers killing 27. 8. After this ambush the inhabitants of a nearby village came and told our freedom fighters that the attack had been watched by a white civilian who was coming on the same road by car and who had gone to Mocimboa da Praia. Expecting reinforcements sent by the headquarters of Mocimboa da Praia, our soldiers prepared another ambush. About three hours later 6 cars loaded with Portuguese soldiers arrived. The.first 4 cars were destroyed with mines and hand grenades. 46 Portuguese soldiers were killed. The other two cars turned back and disappeared. One of our militants was killed and two wounded. ■ - 9. In the evening of December 31 the freedom fighters of Frelimo, who were gathered in Diaca, attacked the administrative post, killing 4 Portuguese soldiers and one African policeman. 10.
