In 1965 our armed struggle will-grow in-intensity and dimension. As we solemnely declared in our proclamation of 25th September, our fight will not cease until our country is totally liberated from the clutches of colonialism and imperialism. May the new year witness the victory of all revolutionary and popular forces. May it see the basis of a new world shaped - a world where capital is not erected as a God of religion which men worship, sacrifying to it fundamental human values; a world where fraternity is not an empty and meaningless word; without walls separating men, without misery destroying them. Those are the wishes of MOZAMBICAN REVOLUTION . ******** .* ■■?,<*..-■ . ARMED STRUGGLE IN MOZAMBIQUE COMMUNIQUE No 3 1. On the 18th of November militants of FRELIMO ambushed a patrol of Portuguese soldiers in the region of Miteda, in Mueda. They killed 13 soldiers and captured 4 guns. The bodies of the Portuguese soldiers remained exposed in the place of the attack for 4 days. Wot until the fifth day did another patrol, larger and better armed than the first, come to take away the bodies of the dead soldiers. 2. On the 21st of November, FRELIMO1s militants attacked a convoy of 4 cars carrying Portuguese soldiers. Two cars escaped and the two others were destroyed. The number of Portuguese soldiers killed was 19. The attack took place at 8 o'clock in the morning. 3. On the 17th of November in the region of Quinheu, in combined actions of sabotage, 3 bridges and two cars were destroyed by our militants and the shop of an agent of the PIDE named Abrantes was burned. 4. On the 25th of November 3 military cars were ambushed and attacked with machine guns. 18 Portuguese soldiers were killed and a number were gravely wounded. The troop of soldiers was coming from Mueda to Nangade, travelling on a road which they had been sent to repair after it was sabotaged by FRELIMO freedom fighters. 5. On the same day, on the same road, atroop sent to counter-attack against our militants responsible for the above incident was itself ambushed by our men. Three Portuguese soldiers were killed and 4 wounded. 6. In Irimba (Mocimboa da Praia) on the 22nd of November, three cars were attacked and 6 Portuguese soldiers were killed.
