- 4 - The United States and Great Britain Imperialists Leading. More than 20 couhtires led by the United States and Great Britain have/stated categorically that they will walk out of the Conference if the resolution supported by the Afro- Asian and Communist countries is forced to a vote. The Western- and South American countries maintain that the conference is not competent to expel any member. The Conference earlier elected a new Chairman, Mr. Fued Sawaya, of Lebanon after the Australian, Dr. Hans Nowotny resigned over the issue of the resolution. The two week conference which opened on Monday July 6 has not yet started its debates, and has devoted all its sessions to the arguments on whether the resolution should be discussed and put to a vote. (Sunday News, July 12, 1964.) MESSAGE TO THE MISSION OF SOUTH VIETNAM NATIONAL LIBERATION FRONT On the occasion of the week of International Solidarity with the people of South Vietnam in their fight against the North American Imperialists in South Vietnam, on behalf of the People of Mozambique and of the Mozambique Liberation Front, we have the honour of expressing our warm congratulations. The people of Mozambique, in their struggle against imperialism and its agents, the Portuguese colonialists, for the conquest of liberty and national independence, reaffirms its total support and solidarity with the just, heroic struggle of the people and the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam against the imperialist yankees in your country and for National Independence, Liberty and Pacific reunification of all Vietnam. We are convinced that our just struggle for liberty and National independence is like yours against our common enemies - the imperialists and their footmen. " Our solidarity v/ith the peoples of Africa and the revolutionary peoples of the world will strengthen the reciprocal, moral and political help for the continuation of the struggle up to the total liberation of all oppressed and exploited peoples and at the same time will weaken the imperialist aggressive forces. The Mozambican people and its vanguard, FRELIMO on that memorial occasion express once more its total support and sincere sympathy with* the People and the South Vietnam National Liberation Front, and encourages them to pursue their heroic struggle until total victory is achieved. /MESSAGE.
