-10- WEST GERMANY STRENGTHENS ITS LINKS WITH THE PORTUGUESE FASCISTS. On the 16th June, 1964 an agreement for the^^extra- diction and-judicial collaboration between Portugal and West Germany was signed in Bonn, This agreememt. was signed by the Portuguese Minister for Justice and the West German Minister for Foreign Affairs, Military Support0 On the 12th June, 1964 the Portuguese Minister for Defence, Mr, Gomes de Araujo and Mr. Kai Uwe Von Hassel, Minister for Defence in.West Germany signed a military agreement, in Bonn,. The agreement provides for the training of' Portuguese soldiers, treatment for Portuguese soldiers injured in the wars in the colonies, and the construction of a West German military base in Portugal near Beja. ' The building of the base has already started according to a. statement made by the Portuguese Embassy in Bonn. A military mission from West Germany is now visiting Lisbon to study the details of the agreement. This is a sure demonstration of an alliance between the imperialists with regard to the Portuguese colonies. We are fighting against Portugal, but the money and the arms she-uses to kill our people come from Great Britain, West Germany, U.S.A., France and all the other NATO powers and we conclude that these imperialist countries fight against- us only because we want to be free and live in peace in- our own free and democratic country. Because our struggle is just and because we are really decided, we are sure that even if all the imperialists mass together to oppress us, we will still succeed. There is no force on earth that can stop us. MOZAMBIQUE WILL BE FREE. THE VICE-PRESIDENT OF FRELIMO IN BAKU (USSR) At the invitation of the Soviet Afro-Asian Solidarity Committee, a FRELIMO*delegation which was visiting Moscow at the time, went to a Congress held by the Committee in Baku (USSR) from the 8th - 11th May, 1964. The delegation was headed by Brother Simango, Vice-President of FRELIMO. After the Congress Brother Simango visited Mongolia.
