working people of Mozambique undertaking armed struggle, because
colonialism is a crime, a system of coercion, a system which
brings death; it is armed aggression against all our people.
To do away with Portuguese colonialism means to extinguish
a hotbed of war and to create better conditions for peace.
We are celebrating MAY DaY in an atmosphere of struggle
against colonialism.
We wish happiness to Soviet people and many years of live
to their leader, Nikita KHRUSHCHOV.
On behalf of the people of Mozambique, and their vanguard-
-FRELIMO- we send best wishes to Soviet people, and we proclaim:
achieve still greater progress in building communist society."

FLN CONGRESS (ALGERIA)
At the oppening session of the FLN Congress held last
April in Algeria, the President of FRELIMO, brother Eduardo
MONDLANE, delivered a message form which we publish some passages:
"The importance of your Congress does not escape you, we
are sure. It is a Congress of extreme importance to Algeria ,
but also to Africa, and certainly to all those who want earth
be an immense place of peace an liberty.
"It is for this reason that the Mozambican people and
their movement , FRELIMO, tell to you: SALUTATIONS, Brothers,
aLL SUCCESS to YOUR WORK I

Yes, brothers, we salute you, we who are still -under
the colonial oppression, v/e v/ho are fighting at this moment
against Portuguese colonialism, against imperialism, we who
are following the example you gave to Africa and the world.
"And our salutations are also a homage to your dead
and to your living people who are continuing the work of liberating man and putting him on the road to socialism.
"It is important for us to tell you today, brothers .
who represent the Algerian people, how much the Mozambican
people are gratefull to you all, and specially to brmther BEN
BELLA.
"...We will never forget the help that the people and
Government of Algeria, as v/ell as your Party, has always given
us.
"...Your support has become an important factor in
our history, we shall always remember that."
"....Your Congress will be,we are sure, a great
revolutionary contribution to Algeria and to AFRICA".
