- 9 - That is why we appeal to all the peoples, governments international and national organisations, to all who cherish peace and freedom on earth to render immediate all-round moral, material, military and any other necessary aid to the peoples fighting for their freedom and indepeddence. We appeal to the independent countries of Asia and Africa to the Organisation of African Unity, to the governments of all the socialist countries to take further decisive measures for the immediate implementation of the U.N. Declarations on granting independence to the colonial countries and peoples. Oppressed peoples can no longer await freedom and independence. We appeal to all people of good-will to launch a v/orld-wide campaign in support of the peoples fighting for national liberation, for the abolition of colonial and racialist regimes by rendering all-round moral support} by subjectihg the governments of the imperialist powers to pressure of all the people who demand that they discontinue immediately their support of the racialists regimes, dismantle the military bas&s and withdraw their troops from the territories of Asian and African countries; by collecting money and material resources for the Fund of Aid to the embattled peoples, by supplying the fighters for freedom with weapons, clothing, medicines and other material. By rendering any other help to the embattled peoples which will facilitate the early eradication of the remnants of the colonial and racialist regimes. The sixth session of Afro-Asian Solidarity Council calls upon parties and organisations of the embattled peoples to ensure the unity of actions in mobilising all forces for the struggle against the main enemy - old and new colohialists. The session voices firm confidence that this Appeal, reflecting the profound aspirations and hopes of millions of fighters for freedom and independence will meet . full understanding and all-round support of all v/ho prize the ideals of freedom and justice and will contribute to the earliest solution of one of the most burning problems of our age that of the eradication of colonialism. 0 0 IMPERIA LIST TACTICS The fascist-colonialist Portuguese manage to continue to^ deceive the world and camouflage the atrocities taking place in our country. After having refused the UNO permission to conduct an enquiry into the situation in the port, colonics in Africa, they invited 29 american journalists to visit Mozambique. This is not the first time that Portugal used such tactics. Cooperating with imperialist allies, Portugal spent millions of dollars to finance an american enterprise in order to develope Portuguese pro-colonialist propaganda in the USA. On the 3rd April, I96M-, 29 journalists from the USA arrived in Lourenco Marques. During their stay they will be taken to the office of the colonialists, to schools.reserved for the children of these colon- lists, to the hospitals and other places where some two or three Africans will be put to"prove" the inter-racial society created by Portugal I But none of these journalists paid to support colonialist propaganda will be taken to visit the prisons or torture camps where thousands of Mozambicans die. None of these journalists will be taken to visit forced labour camps. It is easy to predict v/hat some of these newspapers, for example the Catholic News of Washington, will say. MR caution international public opinion against these journalists. They visited Mozambique like tourists, they have not seen how our people is suffering under the Portuguese oppression. END —
