- 8 - The Mozambique Liberation Front would, therefore, wish to propose that this conference establish a liberation coxLiirtittee, equip it with sufficient material means to give :, direct support; to the work already being done by the heroic freedom fighters of the various conntries still under im- ^ perial cnntrol. JJ Thank you, Mr. Chairman. APPEAL of the Solidarity Council on the Abolition of Colonial and Racialist Regimes-and on Aid to the Fighters for FREEDOM We representatives of 70 countries, assembled at the session of the Solidarity Council in the capital of fraternal Algeria address to the peoples of Asia and Africa and to all progressive mankind an appeal on the immediate abolition of colonial and racialist regimes which still exist on our continents and on the rendering of greater ail-round aid to the fighters for freedom. In the last 20 years, the peoples of Asia and Africa, with the support of all progressive mankind, have performed the greatest exploit by crushing the hated system of colonial enslavement which had been created for centuries More than 50 Asian and African countries have won national independence and gained freedom. This is a truly historical epochal victory of the Afro-Asian peoples. But the conscience of mankind cannot rest at ease as long as oppressed peoples remain on earth, as long as the colonialists run amuck in Angola, "Portuguese" Guinea Mozambique, Southern Rhodesia, South Africa, as long as the poples of these and other territories and countries are subjected to the disgrace of colonial slavery, to indignities and terror by the foreign enslavers and racialists* We resolutely declare that v/e will not relax our struggle as long as no end is put to the occupation of South Viet Nam, South Korea, Taiwan, Okinawa and other territories by the U.S. imperialists, as long as the last colonialist is not driven from the territory of Asia, Africa and Latin America. We, participants in the Algerian session"of the Afro-Asian Solidarity Council regard as absolutely impermissable the situation when the Portuguese colonialists the oouth African racialists, the British, French and American imperialists, with the support of their NATO allies, still keep in the chains of colonial slavery tens of millions of p>eople:. All the peoples must be free, colonialism must^be banished from the face of the earth! The immediate abolition of colonial and racialist regimes is the urgent necessity of our time and has become the cause of all progressive forces of the world*•
