The hypothesis presented cannot be utilised as a panacea for management control problems because of its lack j of capability in resolving problems of human inertia, human ij tendencies to copy other systems in being, and vested human;! f|interests in preserving the status quo. j Application of the exception principle of reporting | iI has simplified management control systems, has speeded up |j I the control system, and has provided the media for evalu- jI | ating balance within operations. ; j Within the system of control suggested herein, i provisions have been made for reduction in control costs, improvement in communications, morale, and motivation. Even though corrective action has not been insured, the act of focusing management scrutiny upon each problem area, and the act of sparking the thought process of vertical elements of the organisation, can only be interpreted as an avenue of improvement.
