136 Company as outlined in this chapter appears adequate to meet the immediate needs of the company for qualified supervisory personnel at all levels. In fact, the company is to be commended for its extensive efforts in building a comprehensive program designed to develop to the fullest practical extent the potential of its executives, i The success of certain other companies with the t employment of a junior board of directors as an effective tool in the development of executive talent would appear to warrant consideration by this company. Not only does a junior board fire t:he imaginations i of its members and instill in them the habit of creative thinking, but the company reaps the benefits of improvements adopted as a ) !result of the recommendations of the junior board. For the foregoing reasons, the author recommends that Pacific Telephone give serious consideration to creation of a junior board of directors composed of members drawn from its middle and upper executive levels. i
