9 Southern California are also reviewed in this chapter. The chapter on the questionnaire survey study of former bank employees relates the purposes and methods used in this study. The preparation of the questionnaire form is described so that the reasons for the information requested may be clarified. Information such as names and addresses of former employees and their former jobs are cited as well as other pertinent data volunteered by their employers. The survey data, representing quantitative totals of questionnaires mailed, together with the final results of the survey are reviewed in the last part of this chapter. Opinions and considerations of bank officials concerning the problem area are reviewed in the chapter ’’Personal Interviews and Correspondence.” Information received from these interviews concerning some personnel statistics for selected Los Angeles banks is reviewed and later evaluated in relation to the study. Use of part-time employees, past and present, by banks in the area is discussed as well as the use of part-time employees by selected banks outside of the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. The summary chapter contains a synopsis of each chapter in the study.
