Title | American Legion (Ages), Los Angeles, 1976 |
Description | American Legion (Ages), 1976, American Legion, exterior, 4910 East Olympic Boulevard (between La Verne and Ferris Avenues). Two panels. One panel (facing the parking lot) shows soldiers from each branch of the U,S, military standing in front of an American flag. The other panel (facing the street) is a history of Los Angeles from mission days to the present. In acrylic on stucco, 2 panels, 40' x 13' and 25" x 13 by Daniel Martinez and crew. Sponsored by American Legion -- Dunitz, Street gallery, rev. 2nd ed., p. 300, #23. According to the Google maps street view image, both murals do not exist anymore (as of November 11, 2011). |
