Note: Bei den Photos lag eine Erklärung zu einem noch nicht weiter identifizierten Gruppenbild, ist den Photos beigelegt. (DS 09.2000).; Note translation: An explanation of a group photograph was found in the album, and remains there. But we were not able to identify the group portrait it referred to. (DS 09.2000). - NB this album begins with 17 photographs from Switzerland. It also contains, as the last group of perhaps 6 pictures, images which also occur in QD-30.024 and which seem to come from Akyem Abuakwa(Kyebi and Begoro). (PJ 08.2002). Note on the dating of Ramseyer photographs applying to this album and the three which follow: the earliest Ramseyer photographs we can date with certainty at the moment were taken when Kwahu joined the Gold Coast Colony in May 1888. Kwahi photographs, and photographs not clearly identified as photographs from Asante, are therefore dated between 1888 and the Ramseyers' move to Kumase in 1896. There is, however, evidence of a Basel missionary taking photographs e.g. in Akyem Abuakwa in the 1880s but earlier than 1888 (see QD-30.024). Can this have been Ramseyer? And if not: who took the photographs in Q-30.024? (PJ 09.2002).
