"NB the photographs in the files D-30.54 and D-30.55 were taken by Rudolf Fisch during a journey to Northern Ghana and Northern Togo. In his diary of this journey (BM Archive ref. No. D-10.24) he notes when every photograph was taken. T. Garrard identified each photograph on the basis of the description in the diary and wrote the date on the mount in the bottom right-hand corner.
