On the right, the silver Palace, built in 1845 by Mr. Legros for the Queen Ranavalona I. This palace was used as a museum for the collections of palaeontology in which there are a dinosaur and a giant ostrich. On the left, the tomb of the Hova kings. The tomb is surmounted by a holy house where the objects of the deceased are gathered.; Photography published in the Journal des Missions, June 1956. |
