Botello claimed that he bought the right in a suerte from Cornelio Lopez a year prior (1835), but that Lopez did not have legal title. Botello requested and received legal title and possession of the property from the Ayuntamiento. The property was described as agricultural land contiguous to the fence of Jacinto Reyes on the South side, 475 varas in length contiguous to the road leading to San Pedro, on the other side parallel with the first, 425 varas in length, and 260 varas in width.; Original Spanish document: pages 179-182. English translation: pages 153-155.
