Description	Postcard of an Historical Print of Lake Gregory, San Bernardino Mountains, California with Mount Baldy in the Distance. Color photograph of the Lake Gregory area, the San Bernardino Mountains that surround it and Mount Baldy in the background. "Genuine Curteich-Chicago 'C.T. Art-Colortone' Post Card (Reg. U.S. Pat. Off.)" -- printed on back.; "History-Lake Gregory, California. Post Office; Crestline, California -- 15.3 miles from San Bernardino. Covers approximately 100 acres, Length 3/4 miles, Deepest point 85 feet. Cost of construction over $100,000.00. Fishing (Trout) -- Boating -- Bathing (life guard). High up in the San Bernardino Mountains at an altitude of 4,530 feet. Dirt filled Dam, completed 1938. This is one of the first pictures made of Lake Gregory. At the time of building, it was estimated that it would take two years to fill by natural rainfall and melting snow, but the flood of March 1938 in this section filled the Lake in 11 days. This is the cause of the trees still being in the Lake at the time this picture was made. They have since been removed. Photo by Roy E. Rose -- 1938"
