Shall Union-loving men lie required to give

only hopeless, bat if the restoration olthe government be hs object, is destructive of that object?
When this administration acknowledge their de-
leai—jvben the abolition leaders in CoriL-ress confess that the nation ie bankrupt and success impossible—when the chosen newspaper organ ofthe

ol trial—when the abolition pulpit announces that
our destiny is not in our own bands but in those
