Description	Photograph of a panorama of San Francisco from Nob Hill in the aftermath of the fire and earthquake, 1906. To the right, a section of brick chimney can be seen standing free in the foreground, just to the right of a section of road that leads down an incline to the right and back up to the residential section of the city. Farther left, the foundation of a decimated building takes up the entire foreground until just right of center, with the charred city and mountains visible in the background. At left, a lone dark building with a tall domed tower stands amongst piles of rubble and the burned remains of other buildings. Scattered throughout the city are burned trees.
