Description	Photograph of the Spring Street School on Spring Street between 5th Street and 6th Street (later the site of the Arcade Building), Los Angeles, ca.1884-1886. The First Baptist Church, on the corner of 6th Street and Broadway can be seen on the left. Three children stand on the sidewalk in front of the school. A picket [?] fence fronts the school yard separating it from the sidewalk. Two utility poles stand in the sidewalk nearby. Photoprint reads: "This photograph is of the Spring Street School situated where now stands the Spring Street Arcade Building, between Fifth and Sixth Streets. This school was attended by Stuart O'Melveny, president of Title Insurance and Trust, in his youth.".
