Photograph of a lithograph drawing, by E.S. Glover, of a panoramic view of Los Angeles, looking south from Elysian Park, ca.1885-1886. The Los Angeles River, the most noticable landmark here is the large ribbon of water (starting at left) running into the distance. The city has many undeveloped areas to the south (top of the picture) and to the northwest (bottom right). In the center, there is a cluster of buildings. Beyond is an agricultural area with groves of trees. A grid of roadways overlays the foreground. Back of photoprint reads "From Reservior Hill" and also "ca. 1880-1885".
