Songdo, Korea,
October 21, 1935-
Dear father:
his
_,, is Monday afternoon, a lull after a strenuous week.
Ily last letter was started a,fter the revival had begun here. It closed
last night,, end Kil moksa left on the 9'A8 train for Pyengyang this
^ornihg. After the first day or +wo the night meetings brought capacity
houses; a hundred and fifty or two hundred were at daybreak prayer meetings, and the last worning there may have- been three hundred. About a
hundred came out for s*udv in the day- The study periods lengthened out
toward the end, so that Kil moksa was ♦e^cMng almost five hours, I think,
besides his "aorning and evening services.
He is 67 vears old, I was told, and is going different places
holding meetings almost constantly. >|He has one night'«■rest at home now
before going on to his next appointment. The churches here took up a
collection for him. They got over ninety yen, of which fifty was given
to Kil moksa and the rest used for expenses. Everyone seemed to like him
very much, and about a hundred came +o the station to see him leave.
