Dear Father: . t - ■ s .. , t
^our very interesting letter of June 25 came two
or three days ago. But in it I was very much disturbed to
hear of your increasing trouble and the inability of the
doctor to help you. Even if nothing much could be done, it
would at| least relieve the suspense if the doctor could
refer to medical history and find similar cases;-but not
even to have an idea of what is wrong ofc of what the^cause
may be is especially trying. It surely can not be anything
very serious while you feel perfectly well. I
3y the enclosed bulletin - see Don Householder J
has a D.D. degree. You did say where he got the degree, but
I suppose from Asbury, as you added the fact on the inside
of th§ bulletin that he had made a trip to Asbury. The ,|
message on the back written by Bro. shuier, '•once your pastor
and still your brother*1 saying that Trinity was legally without afpastor waslvery mystifying; but as you did not say anything in your letter aboU'tffdt, I judged it meant nothing:more
than a sort of twilight zone in the midst of uniting the two
(or three) 'Methodisms. 'The^Conference vou mentioned meeting
in iiOn&SBeach was a district c inference; or was it the first
annual conference of the newly created Conference of Southern
California?.
