Dear father and mother:
Sajikkol, Seoul,
February 16, 1930.
It 'is only fifteen minutes till I must leave for foreign
church, but I will start how anyway. This morningil was asked to
go to Wondong church tonight and give a guitar solo; and so after
dinner I was trying some1 hymns, and filially selected **The Ninety
and Nine". Whll£ I was1 practicing it,#Tyung Yong with his^oider
brother and mother came In, bringing a hundred eggs for me.
"I • ^hey have just left.1 It was the first time that I have
met hi3'5inother. The^ seem so extremely grateful to me,- that it
really makes'tae feel bad. But apparently the help that P.v. is
getting from you is giving the whole family hope. Pyung vong's
father died when he was young, and the family has been desperately
poor. But P.v. saved up money from his teaching and bought an ox
for his brothers tb use in farming, ^he ox soon^after got hurt
and it meant a bio: loss, but 1?.Y. bought another one. With this
looking forward to better days. This
Seoul with * load of twenty saoks of
