Los Angeles bureau (O) Hollywood premiere of "I'm No Angel" Hollywood, Calif: -- Hollywood went West in the forecourt of Grauman's Chinese Theatre, Hollywood, Calif., where Mae West's latest production, "I'm No Angel", has its Hollywood premiere. It was hailed as the most elaborate first night opening in the history of the theatre, with almost 30,000 people gathered around the boulevard trying to get a glimpse of the many stars who went to pay honor to Miss West. Photo shows W.C. Fields (black felt hat) driving up to the theatre in an old fashion beer truck loaded with beer barrels driven by 4-white horses. Field's claimed that was the only way he could get through the traffic to reach the theatre. [10]/13/33" -- typed note attached to verso. Verso dated, "Oct 14, 1933".
