Description	Aerial photograph of U-boat yards at Vegesack, Bremen, Germany, being bombed by the US bombers. "(NY12 -- April 3) Bombs for U-boat nest -- Missiles from a U.S. heavy bomber fall toward the U-boat yards at Vegesack, near Bremen, Germany, March 18, during a raid which was praised by Prime Minister Winston Churchill as a "brilliant exploit". The unescorted [sic] American bombing planes made many hits on the yards where submarines are built and repaired, and shot down a number of enemy fighter planes.
