White (Eisenhower's doctor); Donal Douglas; Boat "Dorado".; Supplementary material reads: "Gershon. City desk. Illus. Dr. White Expedition. C5: Dr. Robert King, holding harpoon, and James Jenkins with crossbow, illustrate how they'll harpoon whales in cardiac tests. No. 1: Don Douglas' boat Dorado starting out of slip to begin heart tests on whales. No. 2: Dr. Paul D. White, 'Ike's\'" physician, and Donald Douglas with map of area they will seek whales. Dr. White points to Scammon's Bay where vessel will base. No. 3: Entire expedition. No. 4: James L. Jenks with crossbow, Dr. White with harpoon gun, and Dr. Robert King with hand harpoon. No. 5: same as above. No. 6-7: Dr. White shows James Jenks, left and Dr. Robert King, right, length of harpoon harpoon gun will shoot into whale. Harpoon will not penetrate deep enough to injure whale".
