Fire in the Virgenes Canyon area; Bob Hope Ranch; Purple Sage Ranch; Malibu Lake area; Floyd Baume; Suzette Baume (wife); Mrs. Jesse Allison; Mrs. Carol Kastner -- 20 years; Ralph Hiltz (Humane officer).; Caption slip reads: "Photographer: Brezina, Jim. Assignment: Malibu fire. Crew & burning tree on Bob Hope ranch. Leader is Gordon, getting road camp #6; Bouquet Canyon. Saved building on ranch. Man w/ goats, Ralph Hiltz, L.A. Co. pound dept. Goats [are] pets of Bob Hope. Women carrying bedding -- Mrs. Jesse Allison & Mrs. Carol Kastner, 20. Mrs. Kastner crying, saved her wedding presents as a young bride. Wife of Cark Kastner. Burning house unattended. Ferdie? Olmo in foregroung. House owned by Louise Rankin, accountant. Also pix of deer, victim of fire. Deer fell over 16 ft. road bank. Note: live brush, rabbit in front. Scene on Mulholland: numerous dead birds, rabbits & deer on highway".; Another caption slip reads: "Photographer: Miller.
