Sawnor -- 48 years (Rochester, New York); Master Sergeant Chilon E. Eads -- 42 years (Long Beach); Master Sergeant John T. Rockwood -- 44 years (Camden, Connecticut); Master Sergeant George P. Stewart -- 49 years (Dallas, Texas).; Supplementary material reads: "Chernus -- harbor; captions; retiring soldiers. Three negs show five young soldiers -- a captain and for master sergeants -- boasting a total of 117 years, seven months and six days services -- who retired today at Fort MacArthur. They were honored with parade. L.R. They are Captain, Gerald Laurea, 40, of Long Island, N.Y.; Master Sergeant Michael J. Sawnor, 48, Rochester, N.Y.; Master Sergeant Chilon E. Eads, 42, of 145 W. Zane St., Long Beach; Master Sergeant John T. Rockwood, 44, of Camden, Conn., and Master Sergeant George P. Stewart, of Dallas, Texas. Color guard is in background".
