Sievers (father); Helen Marinucci (nurse).; Supplementary material reads: "Newport Beach, Calif. September 16, 1952. First baby born in new Hoag Memorial Hospital, dedicated Sunday at Newport Beach, was Paula Fern Seivers, daughter of the Welcome C. Sievers, of Costa Mesa. Baby is the Sievers' first child, and the mother Virginia Sievers made a list of firsts. First: Patient to enter hospital; had first bed turned down; had first meal served; was given first hypo; first to use the delivery room; completed schedule by giving birth at 11:59, the last minute of the first day the hospital officially opened. Baby weighed 7 pounds, 12 3/4 ounces and mother and child are doing fine".
