Trailers in danger zone; Hal Thompson; Mrs. Amelia Cummings with trailer; Arthur Gobel; Richard Gobel; Mrs. Bessie V. Wade; Gordon Wade.; Caption slip reads: "Photographer: Gaze. Date: 1958-05-01. Reporter: Gaze. Assignment: Trailer bowl evacuates. #56: Taking down awning preparatory to moving our are Arthur Zobel and son, Richard Zobel, latter of El Segundo. Mr. and Mrs. Zobel moved to Gardena today. #64: Groups of trailer part residents gather in front of their post office to disscuss evacuation notice. 65-67-68: First trailer to leave the Palisades Trailer Bowl after evacuation notice is that of Mrs. Amelia Cummings, a widow of two weeks, en route temporarily to Garden Grove. In background of # 65-67, atop hill is home which marks center of crack in earth, running in crescent shape on both sides and through property, which led to posting of Trailer Bowl as 'unsafe'. #77-78: Trailers located closest to danger zone are these along base of bluff. Small slide in foreground occurred during heavy rains. #29: Hal Thompson, retired salesman, hitches up trailer. Thompson and wife, who left park today, plan to store trailer temporarily. #16: Mrs. Bessie V. Wade waves goodbye from her trailer at Palisades Trailer Bowl. Behind her is her son, Gordon Wade, rocket engine and guided missile engineer. The two moved to San Fernando Valley".
